Rethinking Fresh Food Bar Design

Today's fresh food bars, also known as modern salad bars, have evolved into versatile merchandising destinations featuring fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains, and prepared specialties.

The right setup not only looks inviting and delicious, but it also protects its contents to ensure they taste as good as they look.

The Simple Solutions Buffet System by TableCraft does just that. As the name suggests, it’s a simple process to set it up, plus the design of each vessel is an elegant departure from traditional salad bar setups.

Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Choose Your Simple Solutions Cast Aluminum Bowl Sizes and Colors.

Simple Solutions bowls are available in traditional food pan sizes in 3" or 5" depths: full, half, half long, third, sixth, and ninth size, which makes them easy to configure inside your well.

These virtually indestructible vessels are designed with straight walls and sides that fit tightly together to retain cold serving temperatures and create an appealing presentation.

Bowls are offered in 16 Duracoat™ coated cast aluminum colors and natural pewter. Natural pewter can be used for hot or cold applications, while Duracoat Colors are for use in cold and ambient applications only.

Step 2: Choose Drop-in Templates to Place in Your Cold Well.

Choose from 3" or 5" depth
Drop-in Templates to coordinate with the depth of your bowls. Place templates on the NSF-7 ledge inside your cold well unit. Each template is equal to one well. A four well unit, for example, will need four templates. These templates rest slightly above the well floor and are perforated for maximum air flow circulation around the bowls to keep contents chilled.

Step 3: Complete with Spacer Bar Kit.

The
Spacer Bar Kit includes one of each bar: 0.25", 0.5", 0.75", 1", 1.25", and 2". Use bars individually to fill gaps at the end of your well or use in any combination to create an alternative surface.

Bars are manufactured to rest on the NSF-7 ledge inside your well and block cold air from escaping to optimize the efficiency of your unit.

Step 4: Add Finishing Touches.

Simple Solutions Salad Dressing Templates fit into the 5" deep template to keep dressings chilled and convenient.

SaferFood Solutions™ Dispensers prevent drips and keep serving areas clean.

Solaire Collection serving pieces complement Simple Solutions vessels with cool sophistication. Each piece is crafted from stainless steel and finished with a gently hammered surface that adds a refined, handcrafted feel.

The collection includes serving spoons, forks, tongs, ladles, and servers and is also available in a gold finish.

Simple Solutions Acrylic Covers eliminate the need to prep and place product in a storage container, reducing product handling and saving time.

Covers protect food during storage and provide space-saving stacking of bowls for quick and convenient replenishment.

Ready to simplify your fresh food bar setup while elevating presentation? TableCraft’s modular Simple Solutions system brings together contemporary design, operational flexibility, and exceptional durability in one cohesive solution.
